Seven Ways to Mortify Sin

SEVEN WAYS TO MORTIFY SIN.

If sin is out to kill me, then I ought to know how to kill it first—mortify it.

Consider these seven ways we can wage war against sin.

1. YOU MUST BE A CHRISTIAN—BELIEVE UPON THE GOSPEL.

There is no victory apart from Christ. His good news is “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believe” (Romans 1:116). Without him, any war that you wage against your indwelling sins will consequently fail.

“When the corruptible shall put incorruption, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: ’Death is swallowed up in victory.’ ’O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:54-57).

2. KNOW YOUR ENEMY.

First, you must know your enemy within: indwelling sin. “For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander” (Matthew 15:19). Know your sins and call them what they are. Looking at porn and flirting with your neighbor’s wife is not innocent play; it is spiritual adultery (Matthew 5:28). Cursing at the traffic jam on the 40 is not a mild slip of the tongue; it is a sin of the tongue (James 3:8). But the tongue can no man tame: it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. If you turn a blind eye to the weight of your sins, you will end up neglecting your need for God’s grace.

Second, know that the enemy is hunting after you. The Bible tells us to “be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Our enemy prowls around day and night looking to consume us. He is not passive—he is active—so we should not be either.

3. PUT ON YOUR ARMOR (PRAY).

You would not step into a flurry of gunfire without your bullet proof vest and helmet on, especially if they have been provided to you. When you got saved, you entered a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12) and, likewise, your armor and weaponry has been provided:

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Ephesians 6:13-20)

4. STORE GOD’S WORD IN YOUR HEART AND USE IT.

“When the Scripture speaks, God speaks.” Biblical truths and revelation are used by God to make us more and more like Jesus. Therefore, we need to listen to what The Bible says, learn what it teaches, store it in our hearts, and make every effort by the Holy Spirit’s empowering grace to mortify our sin and be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

“Thy word have I in my heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalm 119:11)

“For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

5. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

Sometimes, we think to ourselves, “I just need to get supernaturally zapped soon by a good sermon or praise and worship. Once God do this, then I’ll kick my sin to the curb!” Before long, we remain the same, and God is to blame: “After all, he knew very well what I needed, and he didn’t follow through.” This is cowardly thinking.1

One of the biggest misconceptions of the sovereignty of God is that it excuses us from any responsibility. False. God is working in us both to will and to work for his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13). He gives us the power, but we are responsible; we are called to both godliness and obedience. No excuses. And here’s the best part: even though we are responsible, it is God who does the work in us! Thus, because the Holy Spirit is in you, kill your sin!

“For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but If ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live and put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.” (Romans 8:13)

6. LAY HOLD OF YOUR VICTORY IN CHRIST.

To wage war against sin is not to destroy it. That is Jesus’ job, not ours. Nonetheless, Jesus is risen today in triumphant victory over Satan, sin, and death. Through Christ and his gospel, God Almighty has provided us his power for salvation (Romans 1:16). Lay hold of it and rejoice in his victory!

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved…” (Ephesians 2:4-5)

7. JOIN A LOCAL CHURCH AND COMMIT TO HER.

A lot could be said about the biblical need for membership in a local church, but we will save that for another day. “The nature of the Christian life is corporate, because the body of Christ is a corporate entity. While our individual walks are crucial, we are impoverished in our persona pursuit of God if we do not avail ourselves of the help that is available through mutually edifying relationships in our covenant church family (Ephesians 4:15-16Hebrews 10:24-25).”

We are members of a church body, not just when we desire to be, but always. If we desire to be a healthy body, we need to meet and fellowship with one another as God commands us to. For the sake of gospel-advancement in our cities and gospel-evidence in our lives, we must join a local a family of believers. Make it a home and a family. There you will find prayer, fellowship, discipleship, and accountability.

CONCLUSION

At the end of the day, God alone is our hope from sin. After all, He is an active participant in each of the previous steps. It is God’s gospel who saves, God’s armor we wear, God’s Word we hide, God’s victory we claim, God’s church we are members of. In all of our war-waging we rest in God’s promise to keep His own:

“Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty dominion, and power, both now and forever. Amen.” (Jude 24-25)

What about you? How do you wage war against sin in your own life?

                                                  THIS MEAN WAR!

The Theological Method of Studying Your Bible

The Theological Method of Studying Your Bible.

Romans 10: 9-13

Although you have been reading the bible for years, you must ask yourself this question  am I getting all I can out of my bible study?  If the answer is Yes! you’re in the wrong class, if you answered NO! hold on to your seats, you are about to take a ride that will change your whole a horizon.

This is simple but you must follow the method precisely, there are 5 steps to this study Method.

OBSERVATION

What does it say?

 Setting question

 1. Who is the author?

2.Why was this book written? / What was the occasion of the book?

3. What historic events surround this book?

 4. Where was it written? Who were the original recipients?

 INTERPRTATION

What does it mean?

GENERALIZATION

What is the big idea?

APPLICATION

What difference does it make?

IMPLEMENTATION

What must I change?

Salvation is FREE but it did not come CHEAP!

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father unto thy hands I commend my spirit and having said this he gave up the ghost.
(St. Luke 23:46)

Salvation is FREE but it didn’t come CHEAP!

Today everyone is saved; I mentioned this in a previous lesson if we took a survey by a show of hands and asked the question whose save? 80% of the congregation would raise there hand; the other 20% would not have heard the question.  This is called the Pareto Principle or the 20/80 Principle example.

Time- 20% of our time produces 60% of the results
Counseling- 20% of the people takes up 80% of our time
Reading- 20% of the books contain 80% of content
Picnic- 20% of the people will eat 80% of the food

What is Salvation? The sealing of your soul from a Hell Destine word

Church folks are missing the mark in a big way we read the word, teach the word but don’t really know how to interpet the word.  One of the biggest miss interpreted scriptures is Roman 10:9. Paul said if thou shalt confess with thy mouth and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. The scripture is right, but the interpretation is misunderstood.  Now focus your attention on Roman 10:1, Paul said my desire is that Israel might be saved; verse 2 said they have a Zealof God, but not according to knowledge.  The key words are Zeal and Knowledge.  Zeal means a desire, a want, but not having the real thing.  Knowledge,  Paul said in verse 3 they are ignorant of Gods righteousness, which means people are leaning on there own understanding and not the true word of God.  Look at verse 9 Paul emphasizes two things you must do 1. Confess   with your mouth 2. believe in thine heart.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  In the book of Act’s 2:38 Peter broke down Romans 10:9 by saying repent (same as confess) every one of you for the remission or the (removal) of your sins and you shall receive the Holy Ghost.
Roman 10:13 said who so ever call on the name of the lord shall be saved.   To claim salvation you must speak in tongues as the spirit of God gives utterance according to Acts 2:4.

Lets look at the life and death of Jesus Christ, Luke said in the 1 chapter verse 35, an angel told Mary the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore the Holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God, Isaiah prophesied in chapter 7:14 a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Immanuel( which means God with us).  1st Timothy 3:16 said without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness God was manifest in the flesh, which means God himself became Jesus Christ in the flesh.  Paul said to the Colossian church 2:8-9 don’t let any man spoil you through philosophy, vain deceit, tradition, or rudiments.  For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelt all the fullness, of the God head bodily, again this just means that Jesus is God.

Life and Death of Jesus

Jesus lived for 33 years performing many signs, wonders, and miracles,  on the night which he was betrayed they took Jesus to the High Priest, early that morning he went before the council, then to Pontus Pilate, then to Herod.  Neither Pilate nor Herod found fault and Jesus was turned back over to Pilate who said flog him and release him.  The Romans scourge of torture consisted of stripping the victim, stretching them against a pillar (pole) or bending them over a post, with there hands tied.  The instrument of torture was a short wooden handle with several leather stripes attached.  Each strip had bits of iron or bones tied to it.

The blows were laid on the victim by two men one on each side.  This resulted in the body being cut to such extent veins, and inner organs of the victim were exposed.  The victims usually died during the flogging.  After which the soldiers made a crown of thorns and placed on his head and called him the king of the Jews.  He was made to carry his cross although several layer of skin were ripped to the bone and racking with fever. He was nailed to the cross hands and feet and because he was not dying fast enough (according to the law he had to be dead before sun down) he was stabbed in the side with  a spear fulfilling the Zechariah 13:1 a fountain shall be open in the house of David for sin and uncleanness.  The blood and the water is the formula for salvation.  John 3:16 said you must be born again by the spirit and the water.  Spirit is the Holy Ghost water is Baptism according to the scriptures water represents the blood of Jesus and is symbolic of life.

I said all of this to help you remember how our lord and savor lived and died.  Do you think God would have allowed any of us to just quote a sinners prayer and be called a child of the King.  The recipe for salvation is that you must be born again by the spirit and the water.

From the Old Testament to the New every man or women who followed Christ gave up all to answer the call.  From Abraham, to Elijah, Moses, and the 120 in the upper room (Acts 2:1-4). The word disciple means followers of Christ.

Salvation is free but it didn’t come cheap

Thinking Outside The Box

Posted on August 19, 2014 at 6:15 PM Comments comments (7)
Thinking Outside The Box
Psalm 139:1

As human beings God created each of us with an individual mind, we are capable of thinking, making judgments as well as decisions on our own.  When we are surrounded by influences whether they be people, things or habits, depending on the negative or positive influence, decisions and judgments are made.

Prime example I have been blessed by God to have a job, the lord commanded that I give one tenth of my earning to the storehouse (church) Malachi 3:10, the 90% I will let you keep.  Our thought is the lord knows I have a car payment, rent, phone, and all these bills, if I give the church my 10% the purpose of working is pointless.  When we think in the box our mind is controlled by the negative influence which is our flesh, and we all know the SPIRIT is willing but the FLESH is weak.

Let’s look at Psalm 139 beginning at verse 1-2 David said (O lord thou hast searched me, and thou knows my down sitting mine uprising, thou understands my thought afar off).

What a statement David opens the Psalm with a number of great things.
1.      Lord thou have searched me, which means you have examined, and, x-rayed me.
2.      You already know my down sitting (faults) and my uprising(good deeds)
3.      You are acquainted with all my ways (he knows our inward thoughts, motives, desires, and fears as well as our outward habits and actions.

David was very wise by the way he approached God, he knew God already knew all about him even his thoughts a far off, the omnipresence and omniscience of God gives him the power to influence us at any time.

Thinking outside of the box what does this really mean? Thinking means using your brain to control your body, sole and mind. Depending on your influence your brain will react to the desires you feed it. You’re in the box thoughts are natural they usually operate according the fleshly desires.

When you think outside the box your thoughts became SUPER NATURAL, because you are allowing God to control the brain he made, the thoughts, desires, and most of all your judgments and decisions. David said in verse 6 such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high I cannot attain unto it. Other words the stuff God got going on is deep, I can’t handle it.

When the spirit of God is in us we think outside the box, instead of saying I can’t do it, I will never be able to change things in my life.  We see things we can’t see, the omnipresence of God super naturally rules in you; it allows you to see before and behind. Look at verse 5 David said thou hast beset me behind and before and laid thine hand upon me. (The lord guides me and gave me his blessings by the laying on of hands).

Saints you have to understand we are living beneath our privilege the lord has given us so many words of blessings it’s beyond the spirit of Ludacris. Deuteronomy 28:1-2 if you diligently harken to the word of the lord all these blessings will overtake you.

We have to start thinking outside the box you’re a super natural being.  When God said let us make man in our own image he made us to not only look like him, but to think like him OUTSIDE THE BOX.  Do you think when God spoke the world into existence he was trapped in a box?  Look at the world system all the planets are in a straight roll feeding off of the other, the sun controls stuff by day and the moon run stuff at night.  The mind of God is so far out the box we can’t attain it, you have the same mind set.

Sorry let me take a side bar, I know the let us make man in our image went over some of your heads.  Let me help you real quick I know especially you three God believers have a problem with this but go with me to 1 John 5:7 said there are three that bear record in heaven the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost and these three are one . Isaiah said in the 45th chapter and verse 5, I am the lord and there is none else, there no God beside me. Ephesians 4:4-6 said there is one body and one spirit. Verse 5 one lord, verse 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all and through all, and in you all, I hope I was able to help you.

Let’s get out of the box and really live like saints David said in Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made marvelous are thy works.

Now when you have an obligation to the lord such as tithes and offering think OUTSIDE THE BOX and watch the blessing of God overflow.

Why Did Sarah Laugh?

Posted on August 19, 2014 at 6:10 PM Comments comments (7)
Why Did Sarah Laugh?
Gen 18: 13

And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.

Why did Sarah laugh? Sardonic laughter is our most secret response to many of God’s promises. We say within our hearts “if only it were true”. Our hearts yearn that it might be true – whatever He has promised – but our minds tell us that it is impossible. We walk in unbelief, even when God has manifested Himself in our lives over and over. We have in us an ‘evil heart of unbelief in ever departing from the Living God’. It is something to plan for in the life of a believer, and to be constantly beseeching God for grace to overcome. “Lord, I believe, help thou mine unbelief’. This must be the prayer of the seasoned believer as well as the tenderest babe in Christ.

Why did Sarah laugh? We laugh because we have given up. The yearning for God’s actions in our lives, if not fulfilled in a heart, over time creates a spiritual callous. It hardens areas of desire that God has naturally prepared.

We must be aware that God puts desires into our heart for fellowship and blessing from him. It is His gracious wooing process. We often dream the dreams of God. She laughed because she was hardened. God graciously confronted her unbelief. There will be a day when we stand before the Lord, and perhaps try to deny something we have done. And He will reply “Nay, but you did laugh”, for He knows. Is this not a warning to us to go back to the Lord now and humbly submit to Him, and confess that we have been unbelieving?

Will He not graciously forgive and restore us? His mercies are new every morning how good He is to those who come to Him humbly. Will you now come into His presence and humbly confess your own unbelief and hardness of heart? Will you now accept His forgiveness and allow Him to restore your confidence in Him, and let Him revive your Joy? Ps 51:12

Why did Sarah laugh? God is always calling us to do the impossible. Not because He wants to frustrate or confuse us. Never! It is because He is urging us to see in Him alone the answer to our most cherished dreams. God is the one who put the desire into Sarah’s heart for a child, by His promise that Abraham’s seed would be the heir of promise. It was not a bad thing to desire! He was the Author of that hope! She believed in God’s promise, but not in God’s ability to pull it off in the face of her and Abraham’s old age. So she conspired with Abraham to create that heir by his or her own means when she urged him, in unbelief, to go in unto Hagar. What a disaster issued from Hagar’s womb! The works of the flesh produces death and disaster. Even to this day. We must see that God both creates the good desires in our hearts, and is fully capable of doing what He has urged upon us. But it can come to pass only if we lean wholly on Him to perform that which He has promised. Without faith it is impossible to please God, or to receive anything from Him. Delight thyself in the Lord, and He will give thee the desires of thy heart.

Why did Sarah laugh? She was double-minded: wanting to believe God, but unwilling to credit God with the ability to perform it. Let not that person think that he or she shall receive anything of the Lord. Double mindedness is a spiritual dead end street. You will not receive God’s blessing or answers to prayer if you will not release your faith to Him. You must rely upon Him and release your request to him, thanking Him. If you find that hard, fill your mind with His promises and ask Him to fill your mind with confidence in Him. Beg Him, in the solitude of your Early Morning Prayer time, to transform you and your walk so that He may bless you. Pray the prayer of Jabez every day, and yield yourself to Him for His choice in the blessings you need. Will you do that now? Bow your head and cry out to Him to bless you and make you able to trust Him.

Why did Sarah laugh? She had no cause to laugh when seen from the perspective of a God for whom nothing is impossible. Let your heart now say “Yes, Lord, Oh thank You, that nothing is too hard for You!” Yes, we all know that Sarah was past age. So what? Didn’t God make the body, and the womb? Is He not the master of His creation? Are you resisting the promises of God because you can’t see how He is going to do it? Whoever told you that you have to understand how God is able to do the miraculous? Who is God, and who are you? Recognize this error for what it is: pride and arrogance. Renounce it now, and cry out to God for His supernatural working in your life from this day forward as you trust Him to work out His will in your life by His miraculous power.

Sarah was missing the best that God has for us in this life, not just the life to come. He is able to do ‘exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think’. After asking, we need to wait and watch for the answer. We can begin thanking Him for the answer even before it becomes apparent.  She and we need to begin walking in the sweetness of His answers by faith.

Enjoy Him! Enjoy His loving hand in your life! Revel in His love, for it is marvelous! No good thing will He withhold from any of us who walk uprightly. If your life is filled with the ordinary and the natural and the possible, then your life as a spiritual Christian is a total failure. The normal life of one who is led by the Spirit should be filled with the extraordinary and the supernatural and the impossible! The Lord graciously reminded her and you and I: Is anything too hard for the Lord? No, thank you Father, nothing is too hard for you! We love you, and yield to you now in humble submission to your will, and look for opportunities that you have presented to us to believe you for ‘Great and Mighty things, which we know not’.

Stop laughing Sarah, and Rejoice in Him who doeth all things well!!

The Seven Spirits of God

The Seven Spirits of God
Isaiah 11:2 & Revelations 1:4

Whenever you read a book, or an article of any kind it’s always good to get the background of the author.  The reason for this is because you the reader will get a good idea of what and why the writer makes the statements or say what he or she says.  The background and views of the author can determine the option of the author.  In order for us, the saints of the high God to understand the instructions given to us through the greatest book of all times The Holy Bible, written by the greatest author of all times JESUS CHRIST. We must get to know the author.

In the book of Isaiah 11:1-2 a prophetic description of the Messiahs anointing relates to his spiritual character and stature.  The Messiah is filled with the spirit, and his charismatic gifts are described as THE SPIRIT, WISDOM, UNDERSTANDING, COUNSEL, STRENGTH, KNOWLEDGE, and FEAR OF THE LORD

The seven spirits of God are dispatched to the earth to be used for various reasons. The spirit of the lord is the spirit of Gods mighty authority, it is the Holy Ghost which comes to earth and indwelled people at certain times throughout the Bible.  Whenever the Israelites turned their back on God.  The lord would let the enemy defeat the Israelites prompting Israel to turn back to the lord and cry out to him for rescue. Each time the lord raised up a judge, a spiritual leader from among the people to judge and keep the nation in spiritual obedience. Sounds like the saints of today, the lord delivers us from one situation and we cry for help and go into something else.  The spirit of the lord is in the earth to bless us to make right decisions, the spirit of God is dwelling in our sanctified souls to make us the child of god he called us to be.  The flesh is weak,I know and at times it wars with the spirit but the spirit is willing if we let it have its way.

Although Israel was disobedient to God the lord sent a Judge to get Israel straight, along with the Judge was the spirit of the lord.  When it was time for battle the spirit came in, according to Judges 3:1-11.  When the enemy nations pitched there tent for battle against Israel the spirit of the lord came upon Othniel the Judge and he judged Israel and went to war and defeated all their enemies,  God’s spirit still dwells and judges the earth.

Apostolic Doctrine - Part 3

Apostolic Doctrine -Part3                                 Bishop D. Jackson

 “The Manifestation”
(Matthew 1:20), but while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew) 1:21), and she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. (Matthew 1:23), Now all of this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying.

( Luke 1:35), And the angel answered and said unto her, the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God.

The Birth of Christ was and still is the most incredible event that has ever happened, besides the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Today people are still in amazement and in disbelief, and whenever someone is in the dark about something it becomes impossible for them to see the light.
Paul said in (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) “but if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost,” because the God of this world (devil) has blinded their eyes.   So we have blind preachers, teachers, exalters telling others the gospel from a blind person’s perspective, but I come to open your eyes to the truth that the birth of Christ happened.   The Lord himself over shadow Mary and transformed himself into a seed. This is the same seed that was promise to bruise the serpent head.

In (Genesis 3:15) the seed was Prophesied in (Isaiah 7:14), Isaiah saw a virgin concerning a son and his name was called Emmanuel (meaning God with us).
Isaiah saw the seed again, in chapter 9, verse 6, when he listed the names of the titles in which this seed would hold. When we get to (Matthew 1:21), the seed was given a name and his name is JESUS.

The name of Jesus is the modern English translated from the Greek, which come from the Hebrew name Yeshua, (Joshua meaning the Lord is salvation).   Matthew and Luke agree unequivocally (unmistakable) that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit of a human father.

The importance of the birth of Christ cannot be overemphasized,  In order for our redeemer to qualify to pay for our sins and bring salvation he must be in one person, fully human, sinless and fully divine(Hebrew 7:25-26 ) the virgin birth satisfies three requirements
 (1) Born of a women
(2) Conceived by the Holy Spirit,
 (3) Deity having God as his father.

The name of Jesus is the most powerful name in heaven and on earth (Philippians 2:9-10).   Salvation can only come through his name. (Acts 4:12).

In (Matthew 28:18-19), Jesus proclaims all power belongs to him, and he commands the disciples to baptize all nations in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Today 2013, people still don’t know the interpretation of (Matthew 28:18-19), remember the name of the Lord is a strong tower, Key word is name. The father son and Holy Ghost are titles. Father in creation, Son in redemption, Holy Ghost in the church. The titles don’t carry the power, the name holds the anointing and power.

When we are baptize we baptize in the name of the father, and the father’s name is Jesus. The Lord said in (St John 14: 10) I am in the father, and the father in me, he is son through the birth of Mary.
The son shall be called Jesus (Matthew 1:21), he is the Holy Ghost the comforter. (John 4:12) I will pray unto the father and he shall give you another comforter.

When Jesus died on the cross he shed blood as a sacrifice for the sins of the world. (Hebrews 9: 22), without the shedding of blood there’s no removal of sin.   (1 timothy 3:16), God was manifest in the flesh.

Apostolic Doctrine - Part 2

Apostolic Doctrine Part 2                                             Bishop Jackson

The Blood Line
I will put enmity between thee and the women and between thy seed and her seed. (Genesis 3:15 Thy Seed)

This verse is a two part series, a declaration of war between God and Satan and the implementation of the blood line.

The Lords master plan is to use the seed of Eve to destroy the seed of Satan, in this verse Gods prophecy is that Jesus Christ will be born and bruised through the crucifixion, but he will rise from the dead to completely destroy Satan.

Satan has been trying to destroy Gods plan from the beginning until this day.  The blood line of Eve went from Cane and Able to Enoch all the way to Elimelech.

In the book of,(Ruth 1: 3), Naomi’s husband and her two sons Mahlon and Chilion died  discontinuing the blood line of Eve, leaving Naomi and her two daughters in-law without children.

Naomi returned to Judah due to the deaths as well as the famine that ran her out of the land. Naomi and Ruth went to live with Boaz, the cousin of her husband, and while living there Boaz hired them to work in the field.
Ruth found favor with Boaz and was married, through this union a son was born by the name of Jessie, this conception reattached the bloodline of Eve.  After the birth of Jessie came King David after the birth of David came King Solomon.

The bloodline runs from Solomon all the way to Mary. There are several scriptures in the Old Testament that gives us prophecy of his birth. (Deuteronomy, 18:18, Isaiah, 7:14, Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 53:1-3)

YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH (PART 1)

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turn into fables, (2Timothy 4: 4)

The Lord said I’m going away to prepare a place for you (St. John 14:2), No man knows the day nor the hour in which the lord shall appear, But we know when he shall appear we shall be like him (1 John 3:2). We are living in the last and evil days, the lord is soon to come and we need to be ready. Although you have been going to church, some of us all our lives, but church attendances don’t give you a free go to heaven pass. The lord is coming back for a church; we need to know what church and be in it.

There are over 10-20 thousands different religions or faith base organization throughout the world, and everyone claims to be serving the true God.
In this lesson we want to discuss what church is God coming back for, and how do we find that church. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1), he also created humans, and in every dispensation humans became more subject to the way of the devil and not of God, so God said there is a highway to heaven and it’s called the way of holiness.

The church: God is returning for a church without spot or wrinkle, we must look at the beginning of church history. The church began when Moses left Egypt to enter into the promise land.  The lord gave him Ten Commandments to govern the church and the children of Israel chose not to keep Gods word. So the Lord put his word into the mouth of the gentiles (Isaiah 49:6). So on the day of Pentecost that’s when the New Testament church began.

It continued where the Old Testament church left off, The Old Testament prophesized about the out pouring of the Holy Ghost. The Lord said in the last days” I will pour out my spirit”. On the day of Pentecost the spirit was poured out, according to, (Act 2:42), the Lord’s Church continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine.

This is the church in which the foundation was laid by God. (Ephesians 2:20), also states that he is the chief corner stone.

God’s not looking for the catholic doctrine or the muslin doctrine or Baptist, Methodist or Presbyterian, God is looking for pure holiness (Hebrews 12:14).

United We Stand
1 Kings 12:1

Throughout history the children of Israel struggled with conflict among the tribes.  The disunity went all the way back to the patriarch of Jacob.  Joseph the son of Jacob was hated by his brethren because of the love the father had for him. The spirit of disunity had stretched throughout the history of Israel and caused a split within the nation.

King Rehoboam the son of King Solomon and grandson of King David was King over Israel.  The people complained about the hard labor and ways of King Rehoboam, and they asked to have a council meeting with the King in reference to their hardship.  King Rehoboam held a council meeting with the older men who served under his father King Solomon.  The council advised King Rehoboam to speak with the people and make amends.

King Rehoboam also held a council meeting with the younger men who grew up with him.  They advised King Rehoboam to be harder on the people than his father had been. (1 king 12:10-11)   King Rehoboam took their advice and refused the request of the people.  The people of Israel rebelled against the house of David.

Jeroboam King Solomon’s right hand man was chosen by the people of Israel to become King of Israel; Rehoboam was to become King of Judah.

When the devil gets into the system of ministry God has to that spirit weed out. The royal family followed the ordnance of God from Jesses too David, but Solomon side tracked from the plan, he began to worship Idols, and this displeased the Lord.

In 1 kings 11:28-31 the lord had Ahyah a prophetess tell Jeroboam that the splitting of the nation of Israel was the work of the lord, and that he will give Jeroboam 10 tribes which will be called Israel and he will give King Rehoboam two tribes which will be called Judah. When it was all said and done Judah last about 200 years and were taken into captivity by Babylon.

As a people of God we must understand that we are all on the same side. We fight against the same enemies the (DEVIL) who comes to KILL, STEAL and DESTROY. He will divide us with anything such as lies disagreements his, gold is to baffle the people. The tower of Babel is a prime example of how we cannot succeed when we speak different languages. Yes we all speak the English language, and we tend to say different things in the English language.

If we can just recognize the tricks of the enemies and stay focus on the vision we can and will be mighty.  Nehemiah had a problem rebuilding the wall, Sam ballet and others speaking against him made his job difficult but because the people had a mind to work the rebuilding of the wall was successful.

I want to leave e this elementary rule with you that I was taught, when we went on trips, they would say “hold hands, stay together, and watch the traffic.

That still works hold on to the unchanging hands of God, stay together as saints and let’s not be backbiters, or spies for the enemies’. Last of all watch the traffic.

Paul said to watch those DOGS. The dog spirit will try to enter the church, but we must watch as well as pray
