Scripture: Psalms 68: 1
Let God Arise and Let his Enemies be scattered was a song that the soldiers sung when they went to battle. They would proceed with music and damsels dancing displaying the Ark of the Covenant as their deliver knowing with certainty that God would bring them out. They wanted the people to know that their God was:
Let his enemies be scattered: Let them that hate him flee from before him, Let the wicked perish.
Who are the enemies of God?
Answer. A. All those who oppose the gospel of Jesus Christ
B. Lovers of this world
I John 2:15 Love not this world
James 4:4 Know ye not that the friendship of this world is Enmity with God
One example: when Jehoshaphat went to battle the Lord told him there was no need for a sword or shield instead he sent praisers in place of worriers to battle. When Jehoshaphat arrived at the battle field the enemy was already dead. As Christians we all have numerous battles we come up against it may be on your job, at home or even in church. But what made the Ark of the Covenant so powerful was that the spirit of God was house in the Ark .We having a built-in ark which is the Holy Ghost. We tend to lean on our own understanding and fight our battles alone instead of allowing God to arise so he can scatter our enemies. As we see with Jehoshaphat God can do the same with us but we have to let go and let God fight our battles.
