Delayed But Not Denied
In the book of St. John 14:13-14, the word of the Lord said, “Ask anything in my name and I will do it”. These words came shortly after the Lord said” let not your heart be trouble”. These statements are awesome, profound, exciting and wonderful to hear, because they represent victory. Now we know that when God said something he means it and that settles it, for we know that God is not a man that he should lie.
Now that we have that together let’s “ASK” (Pray) for something. Often when we pray we have to wait, even though a week has gone by and nothing yet, three weeks no action, a month or two and still no word no action nothing. You have just e experienced two of the three stages of your break through.
How to get a break through
Stage one: when you pray the bible said “seek Ye first the kingdom of heaven”, for we have a tendency to ask God for our needs first then our families and friends, that prayer is fine but it shouldn’t be first. After asking God for forgiveness seek the kingdom and tell the Lord you want to be an instrument used by him.
Stage 2 Wait: “They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength”, wait with patience don’t waver or get discombobulated. St James said in chapter 1 verse, 14,” let patience have her perfect work”. Other words let patience do his thing you just keep smiling.
Stage 3: PU SH: Act like a woman in Labor “PUSH”
Praise Him * Until * Something * Happens
“The prayers of the righteous prevaileth much”, your prayers are answered when you prayed, When Daniel went before the Lord fasting and praying he was praying about the vision, the spirit was making intercession for Daniel and reveal his needs, (Daniel:10:12). The angel told Daniel we heard your prayer on the first day you prayed, we were held up by the prince of Persia,( a worrier sent by Satan), to intercept your prayers.
Daniel’s fasting and praying press upon the angel to get him the answer he desire. You’re praying and fasting is extremely important to your spirit. Your prayers reveal your wants, needs and desires, your fasting strengthens your spirit and builds up your faith and ignites the power within you.
When you fast you’re rejecting the body, of the pleasures and the wants it craves, the food, drinks or entertainment. By doing so you’re strengthening the spirit within. When you pray you need a fresh spiritual anointing to empower your faith to believe that what so ever you want will come to pass. Don’t be discouraged or dismayed about your prayers, they are not denied but just delayed.
